Em....there are no Prime Ministers of Ireland. There never has been. This page should be moved to Spouses and partners of Taoisigh of Ireland. --MacTire02 (talk) 17:45, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There have rather been two kinds of prime minister:
Having said which, it is unlikely that there will ever be an article on Louisa Cosgrave. jnestorius(talk) 18:10, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The category may be appropriate, but the terminology is not. The name of our head of government is Taoiseach, legally defined in both Irish and English. Prime minister is simply the description applied to the position. A more appropriate analogy would be to name the category Category:Spouses of the Chancellors of Germany as Category:Spouses of prime ministers of Germany, as that is exactly what the Chencellor of Germany is. Therefore, I suggest the category be renamed as either "Spouses of Taoisigh of Ireland" or perhaps "Spouses of the heads of government of Ireland" (although this may require further disambiguation as Heads of government in NI would also technically be covered under this term). --MacTire02 (talk) 18:33, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
My previous response was disagreeing with the first two sentences of your original comment, not the third. I agree with your original proposal "Spouses and partners of Taoisigh of Ireland". I certainly want to keep "partners" in the name or we'll lose Celia Larkin. We need "of Ireland" only for the countrywise sorting in supercat Category:Spouses of national leaders. jnestorius(talk) 21:25, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
