No it is not. Our definition of Ancient history ends in 529 with Justinian I closing the Academy of Athens. The Hellenistic civilization itself was mostly ruled by Macedonian dynasties. User:Dimadick
This use of "ancient history" is incorrect. The textbook definition of Hellenistic civilization begins with Alexander. While Alexander and his generals were from the Kingdom of Macedon, the remainder of the civilization was not ruled from Macedon (indeed, they immediately began warring with each other).
