For the time being, I have made this a subcategory of Category:American statisticians, much as Category:Presidents of the Royal Statistical Society is a subcategory of Category:British statisticians. However, this may be inappropriate as former president Robert H. Coats belongs to Category:Canadian statisticians so I would not object to removing the subcategorization.
