Template

[edit]

Template with illogical wording removed. Certainly many Portuguese-language surnames "may be Portuguese (or from another Portuguese-speaking country) by ancestry, culture, ethnicity, or nationality," rendering this wording completely illogical (learn about Venn diagrams). Further, in which sources exactly is the term "Portuguese-language surnames" used? If none, this category name is an example of WP:OR, while "Portuguese surnames" (a well-understood and widely used term) are well documented in numerous print sources. 10 surnames

[edit]

Why does this category contain only ten surnames, while Category:Chinese-language surnames was swiftly repopulated with the articles formerly in Category:Chinese surnames? This situation, which seems to have existed for at least two weeks now, needs to be corrected. Badagnani (talk) 06:11, 20 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
