Comment on my posting of this: if anyone has any questions or wants to debate any issues relating to Oregon Country/Columbia District/Pacific Northwest history/historical geography, please feel free to drop by the forum and start a thread/topic, or just butt in at yer leisure.Skookum105:50, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The Oregon-centric nature of this category and its American-POV name are a big problem and should be resolved; events prior to the American acquisition of Spanish and Russian rights/claims are not properly referred to as being in the Oregon Country, and it's awkward to add this cat to related articleso n the BC side of the line. Not sure what a replacement name would be, other than merging this with Category:History of the Pacific Northwest and makign a subcat Category:History of the Pacific Northwest before 1846. And no, I'm not the only one to observe this problem - American editors have also wondered about it....Skookum1 (talk) 16:21, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
