The longstanding members of this category were Persecution of Assyrians, Persecution of Copts, Armenian genocide, Greek genocide and Hamidian massacres. The last three were removed but added to Category:Persecution of Christians in the Ottoman Empire, before this category Opposition to Christianity in the Middle East was nominated for merging to Persecution of Christians by Muslims.

As this category was not merged, I added the Ottoman Empire category into it, since it contains the other former members. – Fayenatic London 17:06, 9 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
