Well, the subcats of Category:Disease and disorder templates are all templates that hold information about disease and disorders, so the subcats could reflect that. A subcat called Category:Oncology templates is not appropriately specific and would be appropriate to hold lots of other oncology related templates, including about oncogenes, tests, clinical signs etc. Secondly, there is a difference between disease and disorder and frankly, most items in these templates relate to diseases rather than disorders. Lastly, in these templates the main subject "Oncology" refers to the field of medicine, hence the addition of "disease and disorder" to clarify the specific scope. Happy of course to respect consensus here but if you look at the parent category, once the other items have been moved this particular entry will stand out and, what's more, "disorder" is frustratingly inaccurate. --Tom (LT) (talk) 23:26, 14 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If there are templates specifically about oncogenes, tests or clinical signs, it doesn't make sense to remove them from the category. They still relate to cancer, which is obviously a disease. Marcocapelle (talk) 21:57, 15 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
