I was looking at this category and I think it would be a good idea to put articles about the individual bands of larger tribes into parent categories that then go in this category, and remove the articles about the bands from this one. For example, I'm going to put Mohawk people (Oregon) into Category:Kalapuya and then remove it from this category. It could be argued that this will be a detriment rather than an aid to navigation, so I'm willing to discuss this. The changes would be in keeping with WP:CAT: "normally a page (or subcategory) would not be added explicitly to a category if it is contained in one of that category's subcategories. However there are quite common exceptions to this." (emphasis mine) I have argued that Category:Cities in Oregon is easier to navigate if each city is in the parent cat even if it has its own cat, but I've changed my mind about this category. So I'm going to go ahead and be bold and start cleaning this up, but drop me a note if you disagree with my changes. Thanks. Katr67 (talk) 00:58, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
