Is there any reason for this category when we have the 'Native American rights activists' category? I propose moving all the links from this category to that category. Comments? Thanks Hmains02:14, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have to be Native American to be listed in this category? Because it doesn't seem like you should be. On that note, I'm adding Marlon Brandon and Jane Fonda. --76.115.67.114 (talk) 03:24, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
This question and the one directly above seem to respond very roughly to each other. Technically, this one is supposed to contain activists who are Native American, regardless of issue. Category:Native Americans' rights activists would be people who are activists on the issue of Native American rights, regardless of ethnicity. Brando and Fonda seem to belong there. African Americans have the same confusing dual categories. Since this one is described as "activists for various causes", it probably shouldn't be a subcategory of Category:Native Americans' rights activists, though it may be justified by a high degree of overlap.
