This term must be of biochemical importance, as evidenced by the article monoamine. Although the term understood by chemists, it would include nearly all the amines I have in my lab! I am therefore changing the category description to limit it just to biochemical monoamines, otherwise it needlessly adds another layer to the categories. If I were looking for methylamine or triethylamine I would start by looking in "amines". If we have to subdivide things in the future because we have hundreds, the natural way for a chemist to divide amines is into primary, secondary and tertiary.
