Redundant category?

[edit]

If this category seems redundant, then it should be redirected to a category titled like Category:Zinc batteries. But I don't consider it redundant as not all zinc batteries have metal oxide as one of the electrodes.--MagnInd (talk) 20:15, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What zinc batteries don't use a metal oxide? --Wtshymanski (talk) 21:35, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
For example zinc-carbon battery, zinc-air battery.--MagnInd (talk) 07:45, 17 July 2011 (UTC) In the zinc-carbon battery the metal oxide (MnO2) is used as depolarizer, not electrode.--MagnInd (talk) 07:49, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Carbon takes no place in the reaction in a zinc-"carbon" battery. --Wtshymanski (talk) 01:50, 24 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
