Restoration of Local Councillors in County Louth page
The term Members of Louth County Council refers to the elected members listed on the elected rolls ie those elected after the most recent elections in this case June 2024, or each one previous, and any relevant co-option for whatever means. The tables of the election cycle are updated accordingly. It is confusing therefore to have this page. The prior page Local Councillors in County Louth as with other local authorities actually referred to former and deceased Councillors as they are/were rather than present ones. I petition for the restoration of these former Local Councillor pages as they made sense and being linked to current membership is erroneous and over-complicated. Disaggregation is often better for ease of understanding in my view. Devite (talk) 22:43, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, that doesn't make any sense. These categories are for current and former members of the relevant council. Since so few councillors have (or deserve) their own articles (see WP:NPOL), these categories would be practically empty. Only one member of current Louth County Council has a wikipedia article, and that is from his time as a boxer not as a politician. Spleodrach (talk) 16:44, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
