Lists of United States Representatives
[edit]In many articles, links to U.S. Reps are sent to [[United States Congressional Delegations from foo]] instead of [[List of United States Representatives from foo]]. Mainly, this is because the "List of…" articles are incomplete. These articles need to be completed.
- Model: Use List of United States Representatives from Massachusetts as a model.
- Source: Use List of former members of the United States House of Representatives as a source. It has many completed states already. Check its Talk page for its completion status.
- Goal: Once about 30 articles are complete, then we can begin linking to the "List of…" articles instead.
- Current status: Below I've listed the current status of the "List of…" articles. As we change the "List of…" articles, we should change the status columns.

Discussion
[edit]I don't think we need the same information in both places. Do you think it would be better to have the information in Lists of U.S. Reps, rather than Lists of Congressional Delegations? – Quadell (talk) (random) 01:03, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- They are different. They contain different data. CongDeleg is graphical (sort of) and is useful for relative terms of one Rep compared to another. ListReps is tabular and contains detailed term dates, district home and reason for leaving (resigned, died, lost, etc.). I like both (along with ListSenators and think that they all ought to be complete.—Markles 03:16, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Okay. In that case, I think we ought to use sortable wikitables for that. I've changed List of United States Representatives from Massachusetts to use sortable wikitables -- but do you think we ought to make it one big table, instead of a table for each letter? – Quadell (talk) (random) 11:34, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Nevermind, that won't work for the sort of tables being used. – Quadell (talk) (random) 11:36, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

- I wholeheartedly agree with Markles. We need two separate pages for this. One is a graphical representation, whereas one is in detailed list/table format. Another list we should also consider creating is a list of Representatives who represented more than one state (there are a number of them). Valadius 19:10, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Oo! That sounds like a neat list (more that one state). —Markles 20:19, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- Would that be better as a category? – Quadell (talk) (random) 21:22, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
- No, because a list can look like this:
