SEAsia-geo-stub

[edit]

The reason why Laos articles should be double-stubbed in this way is that there are not yet enough stubs to reach criteria for a separate Laos-geo-stub template or category, but WikiProject Stub sorting uses the geo-stub categories to determine when there are enough stubs to create new categories. Listing the stubs in both the Laos category and the Southeast Asia geography category allows three groups of people to find the articles easily:

  • People editing Laos articles;
  • People editing geography articles;
  • Stub sorters checking the number of geography articles.

If the stubs are not placed in Category:Southeast Asia geography stubs, then the stub sorters will think that there are less Laos geography stubs than there really are, and will be less likely to deem a new separate category worthwhile. Grutness...wha? 02:28, 2 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
