Background of the establishment of this category

It started with Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2019_November_29#Academic_journals_by_publication_frequency, which was followed up by the following discussion:

Journal frequency categories

For expediency I say we go with something I proposed that had some support in that discussion. If this isn't suitable, we can also re-CFD the new scheme, or the parts that are in contention. Keep everything sub-monthly, then do frequency groups after that

Then once we have that, we can re-evaluate if need be. Things can easily be synchronized with Category:Academic journals by publication frequency (infobox) by bots. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 14:42, 14 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

no objecyions here. DGG ( talk ) 04:42, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes that is your preference, which has never gained any traction with anyone, and which goes against standard practices in library sciences. The goal here is expediency. If other aspects are in contention, then they can be re-CFD'd later, once things have settled. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 13:17, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • There is no consensus to use the oddly-worded category "Journals published between 27 to 51 times per year". There may be a consensus to use either the category "Journals published between 27 and 51 times per year" (as per comment by Grutness above) or "Journals published 27 to 51 times per year". Same applies to "13 to 25". PamD 23:45, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
