I am not personally an expert on LaSalle, but I would note that the Dictionary of Canadian Biography and other respected recent scholarshhip seriously questions whether LaSalle actually reached the Ohio River on his first expedition c.1670. 12.180.106.252 (talk) 16:18, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
