[edit]Hard to believe that Kansans haven't yet taken advantage of this cyber-spot. At the very least, we should be discussing the renewed issue re: evolution in our state science standards. As a language arts teacher, my stake in this is more that of a patron than of an educator; however, the question of whether or not creationism should be discussed alongside evolutionary theory is very much a cultural matter, thus encompassing my area.
So while I feel that creationism has no place in science curriculum, its discussion surely seems to belong in the social sciences and arts classrooms. I'd be interested in reading others' opinions on this proposal.
- Creationism has no place in education. It is on a par with Flat Earthism and should not be given any credibilty whatsoever. In the UK this is taken as read. The prominence given to the issue in the States is very bad for America's image in other developed countries. CalJW 02:11, 29 September 2005 (UTC)
