I propse this category be merged with "Category: Irish Government" This category seems pointless and leads to duplication. Any objections or support for this merger? Redking7 (talk) 19:48, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
- They're clearly different: one is about all the functions of the state; the other is about the cabinet of ministers. Some renaming, or at least a hatnote clarification, is called for, to make the distinction clearer than it currently is; but definitely not a merge. jnestorius(talk) 01:54, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
The "Irish Government" category should be merged into the "Government of the Republic of Ireland" category, which is a standard category under "Government by country" while "Irish Government' has no links to any international category. A country's government is categorised under both "Government of .. and "Politics of .. , see eg Category:Government of Australia Hugo999 (talk) 00:10, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
