Two surnames?
[edit]Why are there only two surnames in this category? This situation seriously undermines the credibility of our encyclopedia. Breaking our category structure without any plan or action to substitute a proper categorization system is inexcusable, and must be rectified immediately! Badagnani (talk) 01:06, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
- Probably b/c it was just created a few days ago, and editors haven't populated it yet. That's a usual reason for small categories. :) Good Ol’factory (talk) 12:29, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
Category:Chinese-language surnames was quickly repopulated, as this category and all others should be. Thousands of hours of labor were negated by the deletion of hundreds of surname categories the above editor insisted on, so it is only appropriate that s/he be the one to undo this damage by swiftly repopulating these new categories as was done promptly for Category:Chinese-language surnames and several others. Asking rank-and-file editors without bot privileges to do this work by hand, when the above editor is the one who is responsible for the damage in the first place is simply unreasonable, and leaving categories such as Category:Korean-language surnames with only two surnames for nearly two weeks is inexcusable, and makes our encyclopedia look like a shoddy enterprise. Kindly repopulate the categories before moving on to other tasks you find more interesting or less tedious. Badagnani (talk) 00:18, 10 July 2009 (UTC)
- I think you've misunderstood my previous comments about this. See Category talk:Icelandic-language surnames. Good Ol’factory (talk) 05:42, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
