Far-right politics

[edit]

I think the time has come to add the Category:Far-right politics in the United States. After yesterday's storming, Trump incited people who flied Confederate flags and wore "camp Auschwitz" sweaters and said that he loved them. There can be no more reasonable doubt that Trump is an integral part of the American far-right. Steinbach (talk) 10:08, 7 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose and I have removed the connection. Although elements within the far-right supported Trump's presidency in a way unseen during other recent conservative administrations, the presidency of Donald Trump was not part of the far right and so should not be a subcategory within it. His ideas and policies were genuinely far-right. The fact that he doesn't wear horns does nothing to change that. You know what he said, what he did, with whom he associated, right? If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck. Steinbach (talk) 21:28, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

With Trump winning the election and probably assuming to the second presidency, how will categories be handled here? I'm asking because this is pretty much unprecedented (Cleveland's presidencies are in one category but have nowhere near as much stuff as Trump's). Will Trump administration personnel be split into something like First Trump administration personnel and Second Trump administration personnel once we agree that these categories can be made?

I know it's a stupid question because the answer is obviously yes but I wanted to know just in case Lazesusdasiru (talk) 16:43, 6 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
