[edit]There is bias and attempts of bias in some articles concerning the term "Finnic", especially "Finnic mythology" and "Finnic Peoples". A minor concern is that there is no consensus of what "Finnic" means; different sources gives different definitions. The meaning of this term currently in some articles is the speakers of Finno-Permic branch of Finno-Ugric languages (and not Baltic Finns, like Finns uses the term). Finno-Permic speakers include for example Finns, Estonians, Sami, Maris, Mordvans, Udmurtians and Permians and other distant linquistic relatives, but not, for example Hungarians. Finno-Permic might be and acceptable definition of term "Finnic", even though very misleading. So lets not stick on that, its just a word.
The major concern is that there are few users who wants to make this wide Finno-Permic linquistic group something else than just a linquistic definition of a linquistic group. For example they support an article "Finnic mythology", in which they try to show that these Finno-Permic peoples have common mythology, many common myths, or at least some kind of strong special relation between their mythologies (but not, for example with Hungarians). However, this relation is not explained with sources. The article "Finnic peoples" went even further, suggesting that Finno-Permic people is a specially related group in many fields like genetics, history, culture, ethnicity and mythology; a kind of an ethnicity. Almost any Finnish person with even a basic knowledge realises that this is nonsense, and knows that such, often political assimilations died out in mainstream science at the first decades of the last century. Therefore I seek your help from here, and help from anyone who has a basic or advanced knownledge about the Finns. In Finnish Wikipedia such articles would have been deleted or modified very fast, but here in English Wikipedia there are yet only few persons yet interested. More attention is needed!
