Difference between these categories and Category:Wikipedia featured content?
[edit]I don't understand the difference between the category tree rooted here, and the other category tree rooted at Category:Wikipedia featured content. Seems like pure redundancy to me. Is there a reason to have both? I ask because someone wanted to rename Category:Wikipedia featured animations to Category:Featured animations, and now that I look at this category it does stick out like a sore thumb. —Keenan Pepper 19:49, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, I think I get it now. The ones with the "Wikipedia" prefix contain talk pages and the like, and usually come from templates on the talk pages. The ones without "Wikipedia" contain the actual content, and often come from non-talk-space templates. So Category:Wikipedia featured animations really is the odd one out, and should be changed. —Keenan Pepper 20:21, 12 August 2010 (UTC)
