Overton Window

[edit]

How are Khmer Rouge and Syndicalism on par? Syndicalism is not far left. Claiming that the most radical and extremist terrorist groups are like normal, benign leftist ideologies is shifting the Overton window to the right. If you really want to say that democratic socialism or direct democracy are far left, extremist, unthinkable ideologies, maybe that means you are dogmatically fixated on racist, capitalist, oligarchic, imperialist power structures and can't think of a mainstream left with any socialism or anarchism in it. There is no such thing as normal left being only "left liberalism", which is a faux sort of leftism that was deployed in order to annihilate leftist movements by the far right-wing spies that captured western governments. ~anon — Preceding unsigned comment added by 176.33.67.166 (talk) 13:31, 16 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
