Documentation for templates

[edit]

In case anyone wants to see the documentation/guidelines for most of the templates created here see User:Shushugah/DiplomacyDocumentation ~ Shushugah (he/him • talk) 18:06, 11 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Linking country templates

[edit]

As of 25 August 2021, I have checked and linked all the templates I could on Swedish, Norwegian, Italian, Ukrainian, Hungarian, German and French Wikipedia to the ones that exist here.

For anyone curious, these are the categories/rough phrases I searched on each Language Wikipedia. Feel free to comment with your own search techniques for any languages.

Missing templates

[edit]

To really synchronize the list of countries (not always possible) I matched the following red templates cc: MSG17, MPGuy2824 and Mar4d

Quite surprising to see these omissions... started on them. MSG17 (talk) 16:35, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Improving deletion nomination process

[edit]

@LibStar @AusLondonder @Liz for some months now, there's been a comprehensive effort to assess notability of different articles on diplomatic missions and ergo the Templates afterwards/in parallel. I personally find the current process agonizingly slow and would be in favor of a joint/group TfDs happening AFTER a group nomination of AfDs. Care should be taken not to be indiscriminate of course, but doing this one by one, with a short deadline also hardly makes it possible to follow the discussions. Is there a way to streamline it? I recognize I've been in the minority consensus when it comes to notability/benefits of structured templates and would like to make the best of it.
