there it is TheMaggster (talk) 01:24, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@TheMaggster: Sorry that's not how it works. You need to add the category to the article. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Categorization#How do I add an article to a category?. Also, while we do have an article named Stanley bottle, it appears to be about a different subject than what you are referring to. So there is nothing to be done here now. --DB1729talk 12:51, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
...cont. I went back and read Stanley bottle#Timeline and it does look like it's the same company after all. According to that section, operations were moved from Tennessee to China in 2002. It still doesn't belong in this category though because it apparently is still in business. The category is "Defunct manufacturing companies based in Tennessee", not "Manufacturing companies formerly based in Tennessee". --DB1729talk 13:24, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Aladin is still in business to here is their website Aladdin https://aladdin-sustain.com/ TheMaggster (talk) 06:34, 20 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@TheMaggster: Yes. Looks like both Stanley and Aladdin are owned by Pacific Market International. I don't really understand the current categorization. Surely we wouldn't categorize every company as "defunct" because it happens to be owed by a parent company.
If you want Aladdin removed from the category, go to the page Aladdin (containers) and edit the External links section. Remove [[Category:Defunct manufacturing companies based in Tennessee]] from the list of categories. --DB1729talk 10:58, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I removed it! TheMaggster (talk) 23:34, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
