[edit]This category has an irregular name because there is a denomination called American Baptist, but not all Baptists from the United States belong to it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Piccadilly (talk • contribs)
Shouldn't "Baptists from" individual US states, territories have this category?
[edit]@BrownHairedGirl: Shouldn't "Baptists from Alabama" and the other 49 states + DC + territories have this category?
Apparently, "Category:Baptists from Alaska" does not (yet) exist, but I found categories from several other US states.
I ask in part because "Category:Baptists from the United States" for Kris Kobach was changed to "Category:Baptists from Wisconsin" and "Category:Baptists from Kansas". ??? Thanks, DavidMCEddy (talk) 07:30, 14 June 2020 (UTC) @DavidMCEddy, the by-state categories such as Category:Baptists from Alabama are grouped in Category:American Baptists by state, which is a sub-category of Category:Baptists from the United States.
- Per WP:SUBCAT, the individual by-state categories should 'not' be in Category:Baptists from the United States, since they are already in a sub-category thereof. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 18:05, 14 June 2020 (UTC)
