Finland stub?
[edit]There seem to be quite a few Finnish footballers - do they need their own stub? - Runcorn 12:39, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Brazilian, Argentine, Australian
[edit]I suggest to create new subcategory for them, the numbers of stub of Brazilian, Argentine, Australian are large. And Australian were double category as Asia and Oceania. Matthew_hk tc 04:49, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Seconded. These stub lists are far too long. --Runcorn 19:40, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- I see that there are now stubs for Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, but I can't see one for Australia.--Runcorn 11:43, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
- The cat SouthAm footy is smaller, but Asian one are still very large, should it create sub-cat for Japanese and Korean, because many stubs are translate from Japanese and Korean wiki. Matthew_hk tc 20:42, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- And Uruguayan shoul have subcat too. Matthew_hk tc] 20:46, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I'm all in favour of that.--Runcorn 21:10, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- Done In 2018 we've got all kinds of subcategories. Languorrises (talk) 15:44, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
Nationality and leagues
[edit]The stub templates mark biographical article "relating to" a nation's football. Is that meant to be intentionally vague, sidestepping the complicated questions of nationality and immigration and such? If that's the case, does it make sense for this category page to identify the continent categories with their continental confederations? For example, this page identifies Category:African football biography stubs with CAF. But an article on a player from, say, Cameroon would presumably be related to Cameroonian football
and could get tagged with {{Cameroon-footy-bio-stub}}, even if the player is now living in Asia and not associated with CAF. Languorrises (talk) 15:35, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
