Discussion on Mazovian and Mazahua
[edit] Moved from WP:CFDS
– – Fayenatic London 13:41, 5 October 2019 (UTC)- Category:Articles containing Mazovian-language text to Category:Articles containing Central Mazahua-language text. C2C: The ISO 639-1 code "maz" corresponds to the Central Mazahua language not Mazovian, as per Ethnologue. Panda2018 0 (talk) 18:57, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

- @Panda2018 0: For the record, "maz" is a ISO 639-3 code, not a 639-1 code. I don't know what that means exactly, but it may matter for the way that relevant templates and categories will work. The single article in the category Same-sex marriage in Mexico includes {{lang|maz|…}} and Module:Language/data/ISO_639-3 includes
["maz"] = {"Central Mazahua"}
. Ah, found it: "Mazovian" is probably being generated from Module:Language/data/wp_languages, so that will need to be corrected. I suggest we also make edits to Template:Lang-maz, Template:User maz, Category:User maz-N and Category:User maz, and the equivalents that have been copied into Arabic & Farsi Wikipedias. I have left a note at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Languages. – Fayenatic London 10:44, 3 October 2019 (UTC)- I've just updated Module:Language/data/wp_languages. {{lang-maz}} should now work as expected, and as for the user box and related categories: these should probably be deleted: they're unused and in an unusable form (we'd need an editor with a knowledge of Mazahuan to supply the userbox text). – Uanfala (talk) 11:25, 3 October 2019 (UTC)
- I speedy deleted the category.--Ymblanter (talk) 07:20, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks, @Uanfala and Jonesey95: For the record, I think this work is now finished, e.g. [1][2][3][4]. Entries for Mazovian language seem to have been originated by user:Rejedef who was subsequently blocked for disruption and socking. – Fayenatic London 13:41, 5 October 2019 (UTC)
