In addition to a large number of duplicated entries (i.e. articles being simultaneously filed in both "Armenian people" and a subcategory), this category and its occupational subcats have been gradually and inappropriately turning from their proper and intended purpose, "people who are personally from Armenia", into omnibus lists of all people who have any Armenian heritage whatsoever, regardless of where they were born or whether they ever set so much as a toenail into Armenian territory in their lives. Duplicate and inappropriate entries should be removed; a person of Armenian heritage who was born in Chicago and has never physically been to Armenia may certainly be filed in Category:Armenian Americans, but does not belong in Category:Armenian people or Category:Armenian actors or Category:Armenian musicians. I have done some work on this problem and removed several articles of people who have never physically been in Armenia. However, there are still many articles that need to be removed from this category. --Slon02 (talk) 18:15, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
