Split?
[edit]Maybe we should split this into american writers in different genres, like sci-fi and biographical? Xhin 03:50, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
- Probably not a bad idea, some might fit in multiple categories, making it a bit tricky though. Anyway the best place for this discussion is over at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals. A good place to start is to do a quick head-count and see what genres it would be worthwhile to create new stub categories for, if you can find 60 or more that would fit in a new stub it's almost guaranteed to be created. --Sherool (talk) 05:19, 6 January 2006 (UTC)
Sub-stub proposals
[edit]I have posted a few suggestions over at WikiProject Stub sorting. Please feel free to comment. Cheers, Her Pegship 19:55, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Guidelines
[edit]The perfect article about a writer gives both a (possibly short) biography and a list of books or other major publications they have written. Also, appropriate categories should be added, especially Category:American writers and those listed in Category:Writers by genre.
The book list should be sorted in the order that it would be best to read their books. This might include splitting them into categories by genre, or series. It should indicate if they are listed in the order they were written or in chronological order, if these are different. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pegship (talk • contribs) 01:09, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
