This is a maintenance tracking category for {{Taxonbar}} templates on monotypic species pages which are missing their monotypic genus. This can be for several reasons:
- the species' parent taxon (P171) Wikidata item is not specified as an instance of (P31) monotypic taxon (Q310890) nor monotypic fossil taxon (Q47487597), and should be labeled as such
- the species' parent taxon (P171) Wikidata item is wrong, and needs to be corrected
- the species was mis-labeled as monotypic, and should be un-labeled as such
- the species does not specify a parent taxon (P171) at all, which should be added
In each case, the monotypic status of both the genus and the species should be verified.
Specifying the appropriate monotypic genus via |from2=QID
will not remove this category; the change must be made on Wikidata. This prevents the "hiding" of the above errors. If Wikidata is properly organized, the monotypic genus will automatically be added to the {{Taxonbar}}, and the species page will be added to Category:Taxonbars with automatically added monotypic genera.
Pages in this category should only be added by Module:Taxonbar.
