Category:Redirects from personal names

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Because articles are titled according to WP:COMMONNAME, they often differ from the personal name which the article's subject either uses, has used, or has been referenced by. The personal name is relevant, and should be linked through template {{R from personal name}} – for tracking purposes, and external search worthiness.

Consider Bruno Mars; for example: the article is properly titled by his ubiquitously well known stage name, yet – songs he has written are generally copyrighted under his personal name,[1] making Peter Hernandez considerably relevant; and search-worthy.

The titles listed in this category are categorized as unprintworthy by this rcat's default. They are predominately listed in the main article as a name the subject is also known as so no additional benefit is derived by listing them in any printed version of Wikipedia (nor in a CD/DVD version). Some titles listed here, which are notable themselves, are modified to populate the printworthy category instead. This is done on a title-by-title basis, where each is evaluated for its own printworthiness and at times granted an exception. See template R from personal name for details.
