Following adaptation of the Stalin's Constitution of 1936, the post of Prosecutor General of the Ukrainian SSR was reduced to simply Prosecutor of the Ukrainian SSR. It was proscribed in the Constitution under separate article and was integrated completely in the All-Union prosecution system of the Soviet Union.
