Category:Princes of Hawaii
Below are list of articles of male ali'i or high chiefs who have later, posthumously, been popularly labeled (mostly erroneously) princes, although only a limited number of royal relatives ever received the princely title from the reigning monarchs. No monarch beyond Kamehameha IV ever had any son and only Kamehameha I's son lived to adulthood. It is not certain that Kamehameha III ever, officially, gave any titles to any of his relatives, even his nephews and heir apparent Alexander Liholiho. Kamehameha III was the first Hawaiian king to grant titles other than alii or alii nui.
Listed are high chiefs who were given the title of prince officially and styled His Royal Highness or His Highness:
- Crown Prince Alexander Liholiho, nephew of Kamehameha III and his heir apparent, the future Kamehameha IV
- Crown Prince Albert Kamehameha, last born child of a Hawaiian monarch, son of Queen Emma and King Kamehameha IV, affectionately called Ka Haku O Hawai'i
- Crown Prince William Pitt Leleiohoku, styled by his brother Kalakaua, heir apparent, died young and Liliuokalani took his place as heir
- Prince David Laʻamea Kahalepouli Kawānanakoa, styled by his uncle Kalākaua, given a place on the line of succession of 1893 behind Kaiulani
- Prince Edward Abnel Keliʻiahonui, styled by his uncle Kalākaua, died young of scarlet fever
- Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalanianaʻole, styled by his uncle Kalakaua, third in line to the throne served as Hawaiian delegate to congress
Prince by marriage:
- Prince Consort John Owen Dominis, husband of Liliuokalani
