It's assumed that the huge majority of Indian photographers have carried out some photography in India, so this category simply subsumes Nepalese photographers as a subcategory; Indian photographers are not additionally listed individually below.

As for non-Nepalese photographers, they are listed if they have done a substantial amount of work in Nepal (at a minimum, one book devoted to India) or if their work in Nepal was of unusual historical or other significance. Non-Nepalese photographers who have merely made short visits to India and had miscellaneous photographs published should not be listed below.
