Includes soldiers and non-commissioned officers of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry regiment of the British Army, formed in 1881 by the amalgamation of the 43rd Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry) and the 52nd Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry) which became the 1st and 2nd battalions of the Oxfordshire Light Infantry. Buckinghamshire was added to the title in 1908. The regiment was renamed 1st Green Jackets (43rd and 52nd) in 1958 and formed part of the Green Jackets Brigade. In 1966, the battalion became the 1st Battalion, Royal Green Jackets.
