From 1867 to 1934, the Nebraska Legislature was bicameral, with a House of Representatives and a State Senate. In 1934, a state constitutional amendment was passed, making the Nebraska Legislature unicameral. Since 1934, members of the Nebraska Legislature have been called "Nebraska State Senators". Thus, members of the legislature who served prior to 1934 should be sorted into the appropriate subcategory by what house(s) they served in; all members of the unicameral legislature since 1934 should be included in the subcategory for state senators.
