Appearance
- For the purposes of this category, "Pacific" is defined in accordance with the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions (WGSRPD), namely as one of the nine "botanical continents". In other non−WGSRPD systems the Pacific botanical continent flora is also within the geographic continent Oceania and the biogeographic Oceanian realm.
- The "Pacific" consists of the archipelagos and islands of the central Pacific Ocean, and includes the following regions:
- Category:Lichens of the Southwestern Pacific
- Category:Lichens of the south-central Pacific
- Category:Lichens of the Northwestern Pacific
- Flora of the north-central Pacific — not used, as only the Hawaiian Islands archipelago flora is within it.
- Native taxa of the lowest rank are included if they occur widely in the botanical continent, otherwise they should be included in the flora of one or more of the constituent regions. Higher taxa are included only if endemic.
