Appearance
The native flora of the Southwest Caribbean, an area used in the World Geographical Scheme for Recording Plant Distributions, part of the Caribbean. It consists of three groups of small islands between the Caymans and Cuba to the north-east and the Central American mainland to the south-west:
- the Colombian Caribbean Islands – the Archipelago of San Andrés, Providencia and Santa Catalina
- the Honduran Caribbean Islands, forming the Bay Islands Department of Honduras, the largest being Roatán
- the Nicaraguan Caribbean Islands
