Category:English cricketers of 1787 to 1825
Appearance
This category is designed to hold articles about English cricketers who played during the period after Thomas Lord opened the first Lord's Cricket Ground in 1787 until the destruction by fire of the pavilion at Lord's in 1825. Many irreplaceable records were lost in the fire and data of cricket history is much more certain from 1826, which also marked the effective beginning of roundarm bowling.
