Cat-O-Lodge is the first and largest chain of cat boarding and cat daycare centers in Hungary.[1] The company group consists of four locations in Budapest, Szigetszentmiklós, Szentendre and Debrecen, Hungary.[2] Cat-O-Lodge was founded in 2020 by Eszter Béres, the group now has 15-20 employees[3] and – through its operating companies – generates an annual turnover of tens of millions of forints.
Cat-O-Lodge's specialty is that it has introduced the professional cat boarding concept, which is widespread in the United States of America, to Hungary – the essence of which is that the boarding facilities are operated by professionally trained staff in a modern, heated and cooled indoor and secure outdoor environment.[4][5] The company operates Hungary's largest cat boarding facility in Szigetszentmiklós, where in addition to large communal areas, guests also have access to private suites.[6]
