Series chronology

The fortieth series of the British medical drama television series Casualty is expected to air on BBC One in the United Kingdom in summer 2025. The series will continue to focus on the professional and personal lives of medical and ancillary staff at the emergency department (ED) of the fictional Holby City Hospital.

Series 40 is primarily filmed at Roath Lock Studios, located in Cardiff, where the serial has been produced since 2011.

Cast

The fortieth series of Casualty will feature a cast of characters working for the NHS within the emergency department of Holby City Hospital and the Holby Ambulance Service.
