Carly Henderson is an Emmy-nominated TV Host, entertainment journalist, and American television personality. She currently hosts Studio 13 Live on FOX 13 in Seattle and serves as the entertainment anchor and features reporter for Good Day Seattle.[1]

Early life and Education

She grew up in Colorado and graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism with a degree in Broadcast News.[1]

After college, she taught English in South Korea for a year. Henderson has traveled to more than 25 countries. [2]

Career

Henderson appeared as a VJ for MTVU where she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy award for Half of Us, a mental health series she hosted.[3] She also hosted MTVU Spring Break where she interviewed Bebe Rexha[4] and Trey Songz onstage.[5]

Henderson's interview with K-Pop boy band BTS went viral, getting more than 2 million views.[6] She was featured as a special guest at KCON in Los Angeles in 2017.[7] This same year, Henderson developed a K-Pop fanbase called the Carmy.[8]

Henderson co-hosted The Jam, a morning TV show on WCIU in Chicago.[9][10] She previously reported on entertainment news for Hearst Magazines and appeared in videos across ELLE[11], Seventeen[12] and Cosmo[13].

She co-hosted the Vote Ready festival on LiveXLive to encourage Americans to vote in the 2020 election.[14] She also interviewed Why Don't We ahead of their album release party.[15]

Henderson appeared as an entertainment expert on NewsNation, commenting on Queen Elizabeth II's legacy and her impact on pop culture[16] and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce, among other topics.[17]

Henderson can be seen as a host on The D'Amelio Show[18] and in A LEGO Brickumentary.[19]

She currently hosts Studio 13 Live[20] on FOX 13, where she offers her opinion on pop culture, covers the Seattle food scene, and interviews actors and musicians like Halle Berry[21], Hilary Swank[22], Bill Nye, Rob Lowe, Laura Dern, Liam Hemsworth, Marlon Wayans, Hannah Waddingham, Meghan Trainor, Jon Batiste,[23] Ben Schwartz, Ice Cube,[24] Chase Stokes, and the casts of Cobra Kai,[25] Never Have I Ever,[26][27][28] and Love is Blind.[29][30]

Henderson appears as a features reporter on Good Day Seattle, covering regional events and festivals like the Major League Baseball All-Star Game Red Carpet[31]. She went on a shark dive[32] and learned to fly a seaplane on television.[33]

Henderson hosted The Bite Cooks[34] at Bite of Seattle where she interviewed chefs during live cooking demos at the largest food festival on the West Coast.

Producer

She previously worked as a producer for E! News.[35]

Henderson produced and directed Mila Kunis for Harper's Bazaar's digital series Food Diaries which got 3 million views.[36] While working for Hearst Magazines, she produced The Bear star Ayo Edebiri in a Harper's Bazaar series called On The Rise.[37] She produced Euphoria star Javon Walton on-site in a video for Delish which was viewed more than 2 million times.[38] She also directed and produced Song Association for ELLE, including episodes with Reneé Rapp.[39] She directed Maddie Ziegler in Cosmo's digital series Expensive Taste Test 'which got 1.8 million views.[40]
