Caplin & Massiah is a UK music duo formed in 2024 by producer Paul Caplin and singer Zeeteah Massiah.[1] Their musical influences include afrobeats, reggae, dancehall, funk, disco, hip hop, blues and soul.[2]
Paul Caplin began his musical career in the New Romantic rock group Animal Magnet[3] before becoming the “mastermind”[4] behind the 1980s avant-garde new wave pop project Haysi Fantayzee, with whom he had three hit singles, and an album that went gold.[5] He went on to a successful career as a technology entrepreneur[6][7][8] before returning to the world of music to work with Massiah.
Caplin and Massiah have been together since 2010 and were married in 2016.[9]
In 2024 the couple began a new musical project as a duo, styled as 'Caplin & Massiah'. They have released a single called Dance To It and plan to release an album in February 2025, to be called Chemistry.[10]
