Cantonment Public School and College, Rangpur (Bengali: ক্যান্টনমেন্ট পাবলিক স্কুল অ্যান্ড কলেজ, রংপুর) also known as CPSCR is a private educational institution under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dinajpur.[2][failed verification][3][failed verification] It is located to the west of Shaheed Mukhtar Elahi Square in the Rangpur Cantonment area of Rangpur City. History
[edit]Cantonment Public School and College, Rangpur was founded in 1977 with the laying of the foundation stone by Brigadier M.A. Latif. It was initially established to provide education for the children of officers in the Rangpur Cantonment and the local area. The school section started in 1978 with classes from kindergarten to fifth grade and the college section began in 1981.
Education
[edit]In 1980, it began offering education up to tenth grade, and in 1982, students started appearing for the SSC examinations. The school and college sections participate in the SSC and HSC exams under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dinajpur.[6][failed verification]
Seats
[edit]In the higher secondary level, there are 700 seats in the science group, 160 in the humanities group, and 160 in the commerce group, making a total of 1,020 seats.[7]
