Brzeźnica [bʐɛʑˈnit͡sa] is a village in Wadowice County, Lesser Poland Voivodeship, in southern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Brzeźnica.[1] It lies approximately 14 kilometres (9 mi) north-east of Wadowice and 25 km (16 mi) south-west of the regional capital Kraków.
Until 1876, the owner of the village was Adam Gorczyński, a Romantic writer and painter, then his son Bronisław Gorczyński.[2]
