BreakThrough News or BT News is an online media and news outlet based in New York City.[1][2][3][4][5]
It has been likened to Democracy Nowǃ and described as an “alternative” news outlet, existing outside of mainstream media and covering different angles of events, aiming to explain complexities.[5]: 58
According to The Daily Beast, BreakThrough News is funded by businessman Neville Roy Singham, and began posting to Instagram and YouTube in early 2020.[6] Its contributors have included Eugene Puryear, Abby Martin, Rania Khalek, A.N.S.W.E.R national director Brian Becker,[7] Kei Pritsker,[6] and Katie Halper.[8]
