Bova first appeared in Giant-Size Avengers #1 (August 1974), and was created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Rich Buckler.
Fictional character biography
[edit]Bova is an anthropomorphic cattle and member of the New Men who was created by the High Evolutionary.[1] After the High Evolutionary leaves Earth, Bova and some of the New Men remain behind, with her becoming a caretaker and foster mother to the other New Men, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, Modred, and Jessica Drew / Spider-Woman at various points.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] She is later killed by the High Evolutionary amidst the Celestials' arrival on Earth.[9]
Powers and abilities
[edit]As a cattle, Bova possesses physical abilities superior to that of a human. She is additionally a skilled nurse and caretaker who has fostered several superheroes.

[edit]Bova appears in the X-Men: The Animated Series episode "Family Ties", voiced by Shirley Douglas.[10]
