Bohdan Teodorovych Novosiadlyi (Ukrainian: Богдан Теодорович Новосядлий, pseudo: Taras Bohdaniuk; born 12 May 1956, Butsniv, Ternopil Oblast[1]) is a Ukrainian journalist, publicist, local historian, editor. Member of the National Union of journalists of Ukraine (1982) and Shevchenko Scientific Society (2005).[1] Honored Journalist of Ukraine (2014).[2]
Biography
[edit]Graduated from the Faculty of journalism of Lviv University (1982).[1]
In 1980–1990 – correspondent of the Ternopil regional newspaper "Podilske Slovo", editor of the newspapers "Promin", "Studencheskyi Visnyk", "Pedahohichnyi Visnyk", magazines "Vatra – advertising and business information", "Visnyk of the Oleksandr Smakula Foundation", literary editor of the newspaper "Bozhyi siiach" of the Ternopil-Zboriv Archeparchy of the UGCC.[1]
Since 1996 – head of the Department of the newspaper "Svoboda", since 1999 – Editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Nova oselia" (all-Ternopil).[1]
In 2005–2007 – editor of the newspaper "Svoboda", in 2008 – deputy editor of the same newspaper.[1]
Since April 2017 – Editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Silskyi hospodar plius".[3]
Creativity
[edit]Author of numerous publications in Ukrainian and foreign periodicals, editor of a number of scientific, historical and literary works. Author of local history essays: Butsniv – selo nad Seretom (1998) and Butsniv. Ekskurs u mynule na khvyliakh liubovi (2006).[1]
