Boćwinka [bɔt͡ɕˈfinka] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kruklanki, within Giżycko County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) south-east of Kruklanki, 15 km (9 mi) east of Giżycko, and 103 km (64 mi) east of the regional capital Olsztyn. It is located in the region of Masuria.
History
[edit]The origins of the village date back to 1554, when Łukasz Lipiński bought land to establish a village.[2] In 1860, the village had a population of 354.[2]
